Campgrounds in OOB
OOB has eight active campgrounds, most family-owned, most multi-generational, most heavily booked from June through August. Booking 6+ months ahead is standard for peak weeks.

Major campgrounds
Old Orchard Beach Campground, Powder Horn Family Campground, Bayley's Camping Resort (Scarborough, just over the line), Wagon Wheel, Acorn Village, Wild Acres.
Booking
Powder Horn and Bayley's tend to fill earliest, book Memorial Day for the following year. Mid-week shoulder season is much easier.
Amenities
Most have pools, playgrounds, organized programming, store, laundry. Bayley's notably has a water park.
