How to apply for a seat
Applications go through the Town Clerk at 1 Portland Avenue. Open seats are posted on oobmaine.com/news as they come up, and the council formally appoints members at a regular meeting after a brief interview. There is no residency length requirement beyond being a registered OOB voter for most seats.
If you want a specific board, call the clerk and ask which seats are likely to open in the next twelve months. The Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Comprehensive Plan Committee see the most attention.
Compiled from Town of Old Orchard Beach, RSU 23, FEMA, Maine Revenue Service, US Census, MLS, and field interviews. Deemed reliable but not guaranteed; verify before any transaction.
