The Town Manager office
The Town Manager runs the day-to-day operations of OOB and reports to the five-member Town Council.

The role
The Town Manager is the chief operating officer of OOB. The position is hired by the council and reports to the council. Responsibilities include managing roughly 100 full-time and 100 seasonal employees, overseeing the $28.9M operating budget, supervising every department head, and executing council policy.
The manager prepares the draft budget each spring, signs most contracts, handles personnel issues for non-elected staff, and represents the town in dealings with the state, FEMA, and York County.
Current status
As of February 2026 OOB was in active search for a new Town Manager following the tenure of Diana Asanza. The interim arrangement and any final appointment should be confirmed on the official Town Manager page at oobmaine.com before relying on a specific name. We update this page on each council confirmation.

Public records requests
Maine's Freedom of Access Act (FOAA) gives any person the right to inspect or copy public records. File the request in writing with the town clerk at Town Hall. The town has five working days to acknowledge and a reasonable time to produce. Routine records (meeting minutes, budgets, ordinance text) are already published online; FOAA is for everything else.
