The Ocean Park section of OOB, south of the Pier district. Wider sand than downtown at most tide stages.

Quieter. A historic summer colony founded in 1881; the beach itself is calmer than downtown.
Access
Public access from the Ocean Park street grid. Most parking is OPA (Ocean Park Association) member or seasonal-permit; a handful of public spaces exist near the main access points.
Best for
Quiet beach days, beach walks, and easy access for anyone staying in Ocean Park.
Lifeguards
Lifeguard coverage at Ocean Park public access points is administered separately from the OOB main beach. Confirm staffing dates with the OPA in season.
Dog rules
Ocean Park is covered by the OOB rule. From May 15 to Labor Day, no dogs are allowed on the beach from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. From 5 p.m. to dusk, dogs must be leashed, 12 feet maximum. At all other times, dogs must be leashed or under voice and sight control. Keep dogs 100 feet from posted piping plover nesting areas and pick up after them. Fine: $100. Town Code Ch. 14, Sec. 14-6.
Adjacent
The Temple, the Ocean Park Post Office, and the seasonal Memorial Library at Furber Park are all within a short walk inland.
