Surfcasting from the beach, pier fishing, charter boats out of Camp Ellis and Pine Point, and salt marsh fly fishing, all within 10 minutes of the Pier.

Surfcasting
Striped bass May through October, peak June, July at first and last light. Bluefish blitzes August, September. Best spots: the Pier-area sandbars at low tide, Surfside at the boardwalk, the Saco River jetty.
Charter boats
Half- and full-day charters out of Camp Ellis (Saco) and Pine Point (Scarborough) for striped bass, bluefish, and inshore groundfish. Bluefin tuna trips offshore mid-summer.
Licenses
Maine residents and non-residents need a Maine saltwater fishing license, free with the National Saltwater Angler Registry. Maine inland licenses required for any freshwater bait or freshwater fishing.
