Post Offices
- OOB Post Office, 2 Cascade Road (Route 98).
- Ocean Park Post Office, 15 Colby Avenue, operated by the Ocean Park Association.
Transfer Station
Dirigo Drive. Full season hours: Tuesday, Saturday 7:30am, 2:30pm. Off-season is reduced to limited Wednesday/Saturday 8:00am, noon for leaf and yard waste only. Typical reopening to full schedule: April 7. Confirm dates each spring with Public Works.
Curbside trash and recycling
Curbside service is run through the Public Works department. Holiday schedule shifts and large-item pickup rules are posted at oobmaine.com.
Utilities
- Water and sewer: Maine Water Co. (OOB division).
- Wastewater: Town Wastewater Department.
- Power: Central Maine Power.
- Cable: Spectrum.
- Internet: Spectrum, with expanding fiber availability.
Pets and dog rules
No dogs on the public beach Memorial Day, Labor Day, 10am, 5pm in OOB proper, or 9am, 5pm in Ocean Park. Memorial Park has a fenced dog park. The "public beach" runs from Goose Fare Brook northeasterly to the Scarborough town line. Full details on pets and dog rules.
Fireworks
Consumer fireworks are prohibited in OOB. Civil violation $100, $2,500 plus attorney's fees. The town's professional Thursday-night and July 4 displays are the only legal fireworks.
